Convection oven does not get warmer than 200 degrees even when set on BROIL
I have this microwave/convection R930 AK that I purchased just over 1 yrs ago - I had an issue that the convection part of the oven just stopped heating up--I had a pizza in there on 420 for 90 mins and it barely got warm. The service man from Sharp came out - turned it on and of course it worked--He just pulled it out about an inch from the back of the Micromate it is installed in. It has been working fine again until yesterday--Again I had a pizza in there and it did not cook. I turned the microwave off and back on as instructed by Sharp Cust service - and it did not fix the problem--they said it would "RESET" it. I put an oven thermometer in the unit and set it to pre heat to 425. When it beeped that it was ready, the thermometer read 100 degrees. I then had it "cook " some choc chip cookies - on 425 for 15 mins and thermometer only went up to 200 degrees. I did call again for service saying tht the issue started back at that 1st call in July but was not addressed as a failng part at that time so now I have to pay for another service call (the 1st one was covered) plus the parts-This does not seem fair but was hoping there is a precident of this happening to others? I am annoyed that this has gone bad after 54 weeks of use - My other Sharp units I have owned in the past 30 years lasted for many many years so this is a shock that after 1 year its having issues...any suggestions? Thanks
