You have two convergence amps that need to be replaced on the convergence board. This is a very common problem with these units. The part # are STK392-110 but I would upgrade to a STK392-120 or a STK392-150.Also there may be a couple of low ohm resistors that need replacing.Depending on your electronics experience this job is pretty much a straight forward soldering job that requires a certain amount of knowlege. These parts can be obtained from partsstore.com.I as a technician charge between$185.00 in shop and $250.00 inhome for this repair. It is well worth it as this particular chassis really did`nt hve very many problems, and once fixed you will have a like new picture.Good luck!
I agree with Ronnieh49 you do get a lot of diffrent answers that can make your problem confusing, but I also beleive that if I`m going to give advice on something that I do day in and day out for the last 20 years ,I`m going to make sure that the information I give is the best that it can be.It`s a waste of your time and my time to give false information and I make it a point to avoid such situations.95% of the JVC projection TV with this chassis that I work on require the parts I indicated. When I take a call as such these are the parts I take with me.The only other fix I know of for this set is.. Go into the Menu and select "Convergence" select the option reset and reset. If this does not correct the problem you need the amps replaced. This is a very common problem and as I stated it is a very detailed soldering job.Call your local repair shops and share this information with them.Any repair shop in buisness can only make money if they fix the problem and.you have to agree that the price is fair.Good luck!I agree with Ronnieh49 you do get a lot of diffrent answers that can make your problem confusing, but I also beleive that if I`m going to give advice on something that I do day in and day out for the last 20 years ,I`m going to make sure that the information I give is the best that it can be.It`s a waste of your time and my time to give false information and I make it a point to avoid such situations.95% of the JVC projection TV with this chassis that I work on require the parts I indicated. When I take a call as such these are the parts I take with me.The only other fix I know of for this set is..
