This can be a few things which really should be done by a appliance tech as it involves gas.
If the gas isn't making it to the valve then it will be a splitter valve. It might be feeding the one side but block on the other. Or it may be a sensor. If you have spark and the other side is working then the only thing left is gas.
This really shouldn't be an expensive fix regardless of the problem and is something that you really shouldn't do yourself. I would call around town and see if you can get estimates or a good ball park cost. If its a valve or the distributor manifold then figure about $50 + for parts and about one hour labour.
