Could a ground stop your woofer from working?
My whole system is hook up right and it sounds very clean until, the subs just shuts off. All my high are still working fine, but my woofer, just shuts off. The fuse of the amp is not dead, the amp itself it's on green, it doesn't smell like it's burn, the woofer itself is not burn. The amp is on, but it seems like no power is coming from the amp to the woofer, cause i tried another woofer to the amp and it did not work. Could it be the ground for the amp or other line for the amp is not working or whatever it is that is not hooking right that made my woofer died.

First check the speaker wire from the amp to the sub, see if it's connected right. Second check the rca cables that goes from your amp to the back of the deck. I f both wires are still connected fine try to replace the rca cables. If it still doesn't work the rear out put at the back of your deck, where the rca's are connected are bad. FYI deck is bad.
