Counterweith shaft broke off
OOOPPS.
My scope fell and the counter weight shaft broke off. There is a plate that could be screwed on but I cannot get the replacement part from Meade.
Mine is a 2080 GEM circa 1985 model.
Where perchance could I replace that plate. Would appoxy glue do the trick otherwise? The counterweight is HEAVY.

Bring the broken parts to a local proffessional machine shop. It will no doubt cost a bit, but they should be able to do it. No, epoxy won't work.
