cover to get a look at it. The black plastic electronic box seems to have some sort of sensing ability to it that allows it to close, as there is a small gear that rides on the sunroof motor cable. I at least need to get the sunroof closed. Are there instructions on line somewhere that offer explanation? Do you have advice? Please help. Cheers!

There should be a slot you can put a flat head screwdriver in to turn the motor round and close the roof. the motor assembly there is a magnet inside and a reader to tell the motor when to stop or move. the sensor can fail and ope till it cannot move any more it also as a water trigger. this in the event that the vehicle is under water the sunroof opens so you can get out. this feature can go wrong a well.
