crackling. I use the ATW-T52, I am having a problem where the microphone still works but there is a hissing and crackling noise, that comes in and out. Is there anyway to stop this?

A common problem that SOME have is due to the foam windscreen inside the metal screen rubbing the diaphram of the mic.
Unscfew the dome screen and make sure the foam is out agaist the scree everywhere.
If the dome has become dented, this is my cure: Temporarily remove the foam sheet inside the dome. Put the dome over the handle of a Crescent wrench (has about the right contour). Pound on the screen with a RUBBER mallet, rotating the screen as it reforms! Good as new! Replace the foam sheet and reassemble!
