Crackling sound at quater volume, cuts out when turned up more
Sounds like a blown speaker on low notes but speaker isnt blown. cuts out completely but comes on when u smack the top. removed board, can reproduce problem by wiggleing the main harness to what im guessing is a transistor? ( the black box with all the wires going to it) checked all connections and they seem ok. could it be the black box itself?

Hi Sounds like you have dry solder joints on your pc. Carefully inspect the board and determine how to remove it (Slowly! do not force it out). Turn the board over and with a magnifying glass inspect the solder points if they look Rough or Dry Gently touch them up with a Soldering Iron. If there appears to be a Hole in the solder be careful and apply a bit of solder with a Soldering Iron. Remember to use low heat on your Iron so as to not lift any traces on the pc board and not to leave the Iron on the joint More than Necessary. Good luck, Dereeldeel
