Craftsman Garage Door Opener
I just purchased two Craftsman garage door openers. I have them installed and they open and close properly. The lights come on and go off like they are supposed to. My problem is, the automatic light feature is not working properly. If I put the switch to the on position, the light comes onl and will not go off. This happens to both openers. I have the 3/4 HP model 139.53990D unit. What am I doing wrong?

Security+Light Feature: Lights will also turn on when someone walks through the open garage door. With a Premium Control Console, this feature may be turned off as follows: With the opener lights off, press and hold the light button for 10 seconds, until the light goes on and off again. To restore this feature, start with the opener lights on, then press and hold the light button for 10 seconds until the light goes off, then on again.
