I am using a Model 53684 Craftsman universal receiver with a pair of 3 blue button remotes which works fine. When I try to add a compatible wireless entry pad I cannot get the receiver to recognize the pad although I followed the instructions. The pad would only be accepted when I hold down the learn SRT buttton while I enter the 4 number code and push the ENTER button. When I did this the pad works fine but then the remotes are not recognized, Could the universal receiver be unplugged and be programmed on the ground before I replug it in the ceiling area of the garage?
