Crest Audio Console Fader Distortion
At certain points in my fader position in a channel the channel will distort. The Pre Amp is not being overloaded as is no other part of the board. What part of the fader is going bad or could it be from residue on the guide rod?

Change your fader. Because your fader had some problem like funges or corbun pealed up. so try to change.
