Cub cadet 1027 with Briggs 9 hp engine. Belt
Cub cadet 1027 with Briggs 9 hp engine. Belt broke, chaned both but now wont start, turnover or make any sound when key is turned. At same time as changing the belt also tipped mower to side to attempt to remove blade for sharpening. Check battery, fuse, plug, gas, brake apears to engage. Have I tripped a safety switch or something changing the belt, tipping it or something else?

You need to check all the pulleys for belt alignment. Also check if a pulley is bent together in one spot and making the belt jump. start with the basics, replace your fuel filter, check the fuel pump pressure, check the fuel pump volume, and check your spark quality. There May be a Bad Safety Switch, the Starter May be Bad or the Solenoid May be Bad. The Large Post on the Solenoid that has the Battery Cable from the Battery is Always Hot. The Battery Post on the Solenoid that hass the Battery Cable to the Starter is Hot Only When the Ign Switch is Turned to the Spring Loaded Start Position. The Small Post on the Solenoid Gets Current fron the Ign Switch to Engage the Solenoid. Here are the Starter Solenoid Diagnostic Instructions: Use your Jumper Cable Set and Attach the Positive Lead Onto the Positive Post of the Battery (make sure the Battery is Fully Charged or is a New Battery). Now Firmly Touch the Large Post on the Starter. If the Starter Does Not Turn, then the Starter is Bad. If the Starter Turns the Engine Properly, Then Check the Solenoid. Firmly Touch the Small Post at the Base of the Solenoid. If The Starter Does Not Turn and the Solenoid Clicks, Then the Solenoid is Bad. Unplug the Safety Switch from the Harness.
thanks.
Hi,when last did you really serviced or used it last?,
This is what to do , If you take it for servicing and after servicing, if no solution, that means the engine is too old to work again and the engine is due for change.
If it is a new engine, i would advice you take it back if it is on guarantee. i think they can replace it with another.
Take care.
