cycle start
The door wont lock and cycle wont start. After pressing the start button the door light just flashes and the cycle does not start at all, no sound juts flashing light. Usually the door audibly locks, mechanically starts / water pumping sound, water filling and drum turns etc.

Sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )
