I had a driver referred above already installed. After having a problem with the printer I dowloaded a new version for my printer. As I switch the USB of the printer now I lost capability of scanning. I have a Lexmark x2500 which now prints but can not scan a document.

Make sure that you have any anti-virus programs not running while installing.
uninstall the driver and delete the driver download and try downloading the driver again from http://www.lexmark.com
then re-install and it should work if not please advise and we will get this issue solved.
