D Link Not Working
On a D Link DIR-815 The 2.4 GHz band doesn't seem to be working. The SSID can't be seen, even though the hide SSID box is not checked. Computers the were previously able to connect cannot connect now. Computers are connecting on the 5GHz band. Any ideas?

Check the router internal setting under the WIRELESS SETTINGS section. The 2.4 and 5 GHz bands are separately enabled. It's possible the the 2.4GHz band may be disabled. Also check under ADVANCED WIRELESS SETTINGS to ensure that the TRANSMIT POWER level is set correctly. If that is not the problem, check to see if you have recently located any electronic wireless device near the router that can interfere with the band. Many cordless phones use that band and can interfere with transmission and reception. Finally, if nothing else works, I would record all router settings and attempt a router reset to see if that solves the issue. Otherwise, it would seem to be a failure of the router.
