D off" light has added to mix from high speed shift (50 MPH) until engine shutdown. On way back from 4 mile trip, just now, shifted decently at 32 MPH--uphill, light throttle. Stopped for stop sign. Did not 2-3 shift for next mile - all downhill

I am a 24 year ford master tech, and over the years we found the harness in the transmission was the cause and not the solonoid as you described, In rare cases the valve body was clogged back forcing the flow, My first bet is the harness INSIDE the transmission
