Danby dehumidifier DDR7009REE about 10 years old, is it worth repairing if the compressor is shot?
Danby dehumidifier DDR7009REE about 10 years old, it has stopped dehumidifying. The fan works, the filter has been cleaned, but no water is coming out of the hose. I pulled it apart and the compressor is very hot, in fact the plastic near the compressor is discolored from heat. If the problem is the compressor, is it worth it to repair it by replacing the compressor. If yes, how do you replace the compressor without letting the coolant leaking out?!

No, these are throw away items. It will cost more to repair than getting a new one.
I think the compressor might be OK and it's just low on coolant. There is a procedure for recharging the coolant using a piercing valve, but this unit uses R410A coolant, and the smallest container I could find is 1.43 lbs on eBay for $55. The piercing valve and gauge are about $20, so I'd have $75 invested before I even knew if the recharge would fix it. Instead, I bought a new 70-pint Frigidaire unit from BestBuy for about $200.
