Dark screen samsung syncmaster 920 N strange noise behind it
I turned on my PC. I went for a moment and when I came back I found my monitor samsung syncmaster 920N with dark screen and a strange noise like a beep making behind the screen. I restarted the PC and the monitor and problem still is.

The clicking sound you hear is the power supply board trying to start up, this indicates the board has failed. This is a common problem with all LCD monitors after a few years of use. Parts called capacitors on the power supply board fail and they will keep the power supply from starting up correctly. If you can solder then you can repair the board yourself. Here is a link to a repair guide with pictures and videos showing how to dis-assemble the unit and then what to look for and replace to rebuild the board and get the unit back running.
