Datalogic QS6500BT barcode scanner and 2D codes
I have a Datalogic QS6500BT barcode scanner that I use regularly. When the scanner was purchased, it was specially configured to be able to read PDF-417 style barcodes. The company I work for is now getting in a new part that appears to have a MicroPDF style code on the box. My scanner acts like it is reading the code, but never downloads any data to my PC. Is there something I need to do to the scanner to be able to read what I think is a microPDF label?? Thanks for any guidance here.

Usually some symbologies are disabled at default.
i think you need the manual and scan the barcode to enable it for scanning.
the links is:
So when you scan PDF-417 barcodes it's working correctly.
Then you have 2 posibilities.
or the barcode you have doesn't seem right
or
you need to program the barcode again but with more parameters.
On page 334 you find a sample barcode of micro pdf 417.
can you verify if its working like normal?
So the scanner is scanning the micro pdf 417 correctly.
Now it depends on the barcode how it's parameters are.
For example you have some barcodes with check digits or without.
In your case at page 279 you can also configure the micro pdf.
Disable escape sequence transmit
and
gli escape sequence.
you should try one of these.
But first of all you need to be sure the barcode you have is correct.
maybe another product with the same type of barcode.
If that is working then the problem is the barcode and not your scanner.
