Datamax I 4208 prints slow when set to landscape
I have a customer using a Datamax I 4208 printer, I support their ERP software and the software generates the print job for all barcode labels. In order for the labels to print correctly, the printer settings are set to landscape instead of portrait. This setting causes the printer to pause after each label is printed. The same print job sent to a laser printer set for landscape has no pause. We have increased the cache setting to try and improve the speed but this has not had an affect. I think the driver itself is the problem. Do you agree or do you have any other advice.

Try using a seagull sceintific driver.
also if you are sending graphics (barcode) instead of an actual barcode decoded font, the printer will process as a graphic.
If serial, speed up to max, if parallel it should print quite fast
If serial, you can go in to the setup on the printer and spin it up to 57,6k. If not not sure what to say.
I am used to useing Bartender program, so not familiar with your SW.
Also you can go into the advanced setting in the style="display:none;">If serial, you can go in to the setup on the printer and spin it up to 57,6k. If not not sure what to say.

Also you can go into the advanced setting in the datamax and turn off pause after print.
