dc adapter for a 320 GB Simpletech External Hard Drive
We lost our adapter for our 320 GB Simpletech External Hard Drive and have been having a difficult time finding a replacement. I read online that it was an Accurian adapter and had a 6.3 V outage. It was purchased at Best Buy, and they told us to search online for an adapter. Does anyone have any advice on where to find one, or of a universal adapter that would work?
We haven't stored anything on it yet, so we're not at risk of losing stuff, but would like to avoid buying a brand new one if we can! Thanks...

I have the 320GB Simpletech External Hard Drive.
The AC adapter Model number is SAWA-05-153
The output is +12V --- 1.5A
Crack open the case and pull out the hdd its just a sata drive with a sata to usb adapter. if your motherboard supports sata drives just plug it in and retrieve the data.
I also lost my power cord, and did not try to access the data on that backup drive, for several years, until tonight (in in Jan. of 2012! ) I read the posts on this thread, and rummaged throug the old, old saved menagerie of orphan cords I have in a box, found an old scanner cord that fit the jack, and was 12V, but was only 1.25A. So, hoping that althoug it might be under-powered, still, it ought not to blow up the drive :) It works fine. Just sayin.
