The adaptor can't be used. Three of the four wires are broken off next to the plug which fits into the computer. Someone told me it could be soldered -- but only by a person who knows how the wires should be arranged in the four holes. Where can I get it fixed, or replaced? (I'm in New York City & would rather have it done locally if possible.)
