Report "Dear Mr. Wolfgang Puck, I purchased two sets of stainless salt and pepper mills (sold under your name) at Sam's Club. I kept one set and gave the other as a gift. I have never been so disappointed in a product sold under a top chef. We have had problems with them from the start...lids falling off easily, when pushing down to grind the whole thing falls apart sending batteries in every direction...(I still can't believe it takes so many batteries). I finally contacted the person that we gave a set to as a gift and found out that they just gave up on them. She is an elderly woman and felt uncomfortable to tell us how much she DISLIKED them. I feel extra bad because she is all alone with no family and she had told me several times that she would really like an electric set because it was hard for her to use the manual mill because of arthritis. I purchased these items at Sam's Club in Beavercreek OH. They no longer carry them but I'm not interested in another set due to the fact that the two sets I bought were both defective. I am asking you to please refund the price of both sets along with the cost of 24 AAA energizer batteries.....or if there is a better quality salt and pepper mill that you have I would be happy to give your products a second try. If this is unacceptable I doubt that I will be supporting any wolfgang puck products nor the restaurants which I happen to love. As you know in this economy it is unacceptable to buy products thought to come from reputable companies. Please do not send me advice on how to get these items to work correctly because our common sense had us doing many things. Remember the contacts on the batteries are impossible and the fact they fall apart at a touch of the button on top. So embarrassing when company tried to use them.Please reply to me at [email protected] ASAP. Oh yes, I no longer have the receipt and Sam's will only return them at the lowest price they sold for during clearance. Thank you for your immediate attention on this problem....Donna"
