Dear sir, my toshiba washing machine aw 750sm when water filling into the tub,at the same time water also coming out from the outlet drain pipe. please advice. thank you
This seems to be a problem with some machines when they are fully plumbed in - sited next to a sink and the drain connected to the sink drain. This method is fairly tidy and convenient but is not ideal.
To avoid this problem the machine drain tube should terminate significantly higher than the water level in the machine and include an air break to prevent syphoning. If the drain tube terminates fairly low then water will just run out as there is nothing to stop it.
My washing machine has a dedicated waste almost as tall as the machine with an S bend trap at the bottom and open at the top into which the machine drain is simply pushed in. This arrangement has been in use for 30 years with a variety of machines and has never given any trouble.
