Dell Inspiron 1525 Processor Thermal-Cooling Assembly apparently glued so tightly that I cannot remove it. I am afraid to pull it strongly so as not to break anything. What am I to do?
Thermal Adhesive (This tends to stick pretty good)
You will have to pull pretty hard to get the adhesive off you can just use a flat screw driver and wedge it between the heat sink and the CPU. The top of the CPU is metal (this is how it transfers heat) so you wont damage the top. Just be careful not to bend the pins and you should be fine.

It has one of two things holding it on.
- Thermal Paste (this should come off easily)
- Thermal Adhesive (This tends to stick pretty good)
