I have removed the bonnet, and cap assembly from the Cartridge Assembly. The videos I have watched and instructions and all say that the housing assembly slips easily out. Mine does not. How do I get the housing assembly out without damaging other plumbing? It is scary. Is there some kind of retainer or hex screw or something holding it in place? Would a vinegar squirt and lots of wiggling help or am I going to create a much larger plumbing problem? I would think it would need to all come out in order to replace the RP 19804 cartlidge assembly and stop whatever is causing the leak. I have tried replacing the seats and springs in the cap assembly but it did not stop the steady leak.
