Depollution message Interested in buying a Peugeot 308 120 1.6 se. Dealer has had new timimg belt, and a new cat, service , mot Had a test drive yesterday and was good drive but when i came to the lights a depollution message came on abd went in a slow mode with engine mangement light came on. 85000 on clock with seervice history, would i have to run the other way ? Definitely run the other way fast. If the dealer was fair dinkum , the test run would not reveal faults so I would suggest that it is a fixed up lemon
a good guide is this -- the average car covers 20,000 klms or around 15,000miles a year so going by that guide , your test car would be a 2012 model
if it older by the compliance plate on the fire wall, the speedo has been tampered with

The dealer wasnt aware of the cat goi g it was the garage that did the mot who said it needed replacing .
