Look on the bottom of garbage dosposal in the center you will see a allen type fiitting. I believe it takes a 5/16 inch allen wrench to fit it.Insert proper size allen wrench and turn it manually back and forth. It sounds to me like you have something in there that that is not allowing it to turn. By using the allen wrench to turn impeller you should be ably to free it up.Sometimes it helps to run very hot water thru it as you are trying to frree it up. If you can get it turning freely with wrench remove wrench and turn disposal on. If it still is not free try above procedure again. If it trys to start and stops buzzimg look closely at bottom of disposal there will be a small red button. This is a reset switch. Push it in and continue trying to free blockage. Hope this helps you. Thanks
I was on the way to buy a new one. Luckily I found this site and used the allen wrench, which on my badger was 1/4, to break up some broken glass and it works flawlessly again!!!!I was on the way to buy a new one.
