Desk top computer has no sound at home. when at computer repair shop it works fine. Need to determine if speakers are broke or not or possibly not connected correctly onto computer
First what kind of speaker are they, USB powered, Wall plug in power or battery operated? Are the speakers turned on? Is the speaker audio cable plugged into the correct port. Normally it is a GREEN 3.5mm female on the back of the computer? Check to see that the speaker is NOT muted. If not check the volume to see what that is set at. Are your drivers the latest for this system (shouldn't matter) Go to the Control Panel, Devices and Printers, is your speaker listed there? If not go to the tab at the top and add device, then choose what you want to install. Man, I hope this helps. (What would really help us help you is if you told us what kind of system you are using, PC, Mac, Dell, Type of speakers, Logitech, Sound blaster, generic. and how they are powered. AND the OS)
