Despite waiting the 2-3hours suggested by your tech person the unit is still blowing air at 33deg C
Just purchased today ; Model gdc14rcwa. We have followed all the instructions and despite the ambient temperature being 31dec C and the outside temperature being 37deg c - the unit will still not cool down the room. Room size is no more than 12sqm. Must say wasn't impressed with operator who said that I 'was expecting too much out of the unit'. I replied that after half an hour it should have cooled to more than one degree less than the ambient temperature. not impressed as i've been in hospital adn this was supposed to make me more comfortable when i got home. email address is: [email protected]

Check that it is not on heating mode
many ac units are for heating or cooling and if you have not understood the symbols correctly it could be on the heat cycle
the room is rather large so the unit should be at least 20,000 btu or 3kw unit so check the unit size
check that all doors, windows are closed for the room and if there are windows facing the sun , you will need heavy blinds or window tinting
optimal temp setting is 25 C
next check that there is gas in the unit
if you still cannot get it to cool down , call for a warranty check from your local authorized service agent
