Devil may cry 4 hangs when i enter door down stairs behind the giant portrait in the 5th round and it keeps on showing black screen saying loading game but it never loads the next stage even if i leave it for hours... please give me me a solution

You could search google for someones save game, place it in with yours and load theres, just to get past that part..
something happened like this with batman arkham, to get to poison ivy, anyway it worked and was able to complete the game.
its worth a try?
