Diamond vc500 capture screen shows analog picture on only the top 80% of the available screen. The output digital video is only the top 80% of the original analog video. How do I fix this?

When mine does that, I just turn it off and on again. That usually works.
Ok I have my vc500 and im trying to record my xbox 360,but it mostly shows fuzzy or no signal on the computer.Then I try to record my wii and it records but in the middle of recording it pops-up "No video was captured.Please check if there is any input signal.There may be no device selected",and then the video freezes.
If anyone can help it will be very nice. Thanks
