Diesel mixed with oil in the sump
After running the generator(40kva-perkins), oil pressure falls from 4 to 2 bar while oil level when checked in cold condition found to be too high and oil diluted, smelling of diesel within.

You run again the generator but before running, check & mark the oil level. Then stop the generator & wait until the oil settle to the bottom of oil pan. Check the oil level again & if the oil level is higher than the marking before that's means you have an engine gasket leak.You need to replace that gasket.

You should check your injector seals
you should check your fuel transfer pump or fuel pump seal.
