Disable Display ?
Hi,
I have the M789cg motherboard and i have just picked up a new graphics card (new to me that is).
I was hoping for a simple PnP...but unfortunately not.
I have popped in the card, i get to windows screen and the computer reboots :(
I can get to safe mode and safe mode with networking, So i went straight to the nvidia website and downloaded the drivers....Once downloaded and the installshield start running i get an error..."The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware"
I am assuming that the software is looking at the built in vga adaptor, because windows still does in the " my computer" "display and drivers "
Anyway to the point.
Im sitting here with the monitor plugged into the new card and see everything on screen in network safe mode.......How can i disable the built in graphics adaptor on the motherboard.
Incidentally, I know the motherboard and card are not particularly great but that computer is only for playing one game for my son online :-)
Many thanks for your assistance

You need tp press F2 or Del on startup and enter the bios and look in the peripherals menu, if not there, just look for VGA or onboard graphics and select dissable, but remember there will be a line in the bios to enable the PCI or AGP card as the primary graphics controller, save settings and exit for a restart.
