Recently I had a "nH" appearing and washing was poor. I unscrewed the door and found the sensing thermistor seemed to be hanging off from the bracket, so I refitted and put it back together. Seemed OK for a few days, but now it fills and empties but nothing happens when the wash pump is supposed to come on. I have checked the water level, and opened the door when it is into the wash cycle and "HE" is displayed. The heating filament is red hot during this part of the wash cycle (except it is not actually washing as the pump is not running) and the water is not filled to cover the heating element at all. So it looks like the fill level might be low, or perhaps if the pump was running the element would not be glowing red? I tried resetting the machine by holding ECO and turing on, to no avail. I pulled out the transparent pastic box from the front of the pump chamber, which I presume is the fill level sensor, and besides a small amount of gunk in the bottom it seems OK. The machine makes a periodic humming noise every minute or so that lasts about a minute, then goes quiet. I might be mistaken, but it does not seem to fill as fast as usual. I even tried pouring extra cold water from a kettle in to top it up, but that seemed to make no difference. Any ideas people?
