Dishwasher won't heat water. I can't find where to
Dishwasher won't heat water. Perhaps it needs a new heating element but I can't find where to open to have a look. How would I know for sure it's the heating element?

Temp High Limit Switch may be bad. I was able to replace mine without pulling the machine out of the cabinet. Used a stubby phillips to loosen the mount *****. The switch is round pancake device with 2 terminals. Unplug the terminals, replace the component. Use silicone goop for heat transfer. Put a good glob on so it makes contact with bottom of washer and the temp switch. Retighten the phillips ***** and bracket holder.
Not a common problem, remove the rear panel at the bottom the element sits in front of the motor, check to see if the element is open circut, the things that can cause this fault are element, wiring, pcb, thermistor or fat buildup in the pressure chamber under the filter.hope this helps
