We just use nylon to create our rugs over at Southwestern Rugs Depot (https://www.southwesternrugsdepot.com/), which has fade-resistant material. Other popular types of fabric will fade over time (such as poly, jute, wool, etc.).
Most of the time the colors will pop right back out with a good cleaning , if you don't hav a carpet cleaner , get a hot bucket of water and 2 cups of laundry soap a hard bristle brush don't be afraid to get it wet rubb it down when dry you will be amazed!
