Manual, carbureted, I think tmi will run tach and the advance curve is programmed in the tmi

Yes. The car will still need the ECM for the engine controls and gauge cluster. The ECM will need to be reflashed or replaced with one set up for a manual transmission. If I'm not mistaken you don't have to do anything to the ECM if you don't mind looking at the engine light.
