4 screws are covered by caps in the handle area, everyone finds these but there are a further 4 screws found by removing the air vent grilles. The grilles are held in place along their shorter sides midway. Pop a fine screwdriver in at this point and the grille comes off.
Ok, got the grill out and I see the 4 screws in there......
now, how do I get them screw caps off? They are a really tight fit and I'm having trouble getting them out!Ok, got the grill out and I see the 4 screws in there...... now, how do I get them screw caps off? They are a really tight fit and I'm having trouble getting them out!
The caps are not meant to be reusable as they get destroyed on removal. You can get them out by screwing in a fine sharp screw into the centre of the plastic to create a handle. Then pull out the screw with pliers. The cap comes out on the end of the screw. Remove the cap from the screw and tidy it up. It will re-use but will have a small hole in it. Seal with silicone. The caps are not meant to be reusable as they get destroyed on removal. You can get them out by screwing in a fine sharp screw into the centre of the plastic to create a handle.
