Modem on hold feature does not work with Vista operating system installed in HP 9750 Computer.
USR support does not help and states that the Modem On Hold feature for this modem does not support MS Vista and does not have a solution. US Robotics Support NOT HELPFUL.

Hi there.
Basically what you have been told is correct, the reason is that the modem card is old hardware and the Vista operating system does not support it in the driver cab or even if you do a Microsoft update.
Your not probably going to able to get a driver for Vista so there is no point chasing them you would have to go and purchase a Vista compatible PCI modem card for you to get your internet connectivity.
If you was using XP there would be a chance you could get a driver for the existing card but the way things stand you have no choice but to purchase a Vista compatible card.
