Does schematic drawing look the same on a circuit board
Just started playing with circuit boards i read the schematics got all the parts i need from the shop one of thhe things were difrent from the drawring it was 555 timer chip the prongs were in difrent spots to schematics so i still made evry thing run to correct prong but it doesnt work

From a top view there is a dot near a pin. That pin is #1 and numbering proceeds counterclockwise from 1 to 8. Pin 1 is the ground. You can see the article on Wikipedia for other info, if needed
