Does the drive shaft of a Ryobi ss26 require lubrication as part of its routine maintenance? It is running fine after 3 years.I find no reference to this in owners manual
These small trimmers have a flexible drive shaft like a speedo cable, the tube lining is plastic, when they are assembled the flex shaft is greased, if you shake the machine and can hear the shaft rattling in the tube you can re grease it, otherwise leave it alone.
