Does the epic 6500 sr have to have a bag in it to start?
I got one at an auction today and there is no bag in it. I tried to turn it on and there are some lights that come on but it wont start. Thank you for any help you can give me

Yes, you must have a bag in it for it to run. This is a protection feature so that the motor isn't damaged. You can bypass it just to see if it runs by depressing the small button in the lower front right hand corner of the bag housing. If you open the front, you should see it. Just press it while the machine is switched to "on", and it should come on. Good Luck, and great buy!!
