Doesnt cool room as in prev years
My model gwhd 5000 window air conditioner is not working like prev yrs. i bought it around 2006.
do the side vents need to be outside the window?
this yr when i turn up the switch 1 thru 9 to make it cooler,i don't hear the roar i normaly hear and simaltaneously hear the water noise. i have a stady tone and although i feel cool air coming from the from vent,it is not cooling down the room as in prior yrs. whats wrong?

Yes the side vents need to be outside the window and if they aren't - the unit will not cool correctly.
