Doesn't WAKE-UP The ViewSonic is one of my dual monitors and has functioned perfectly until about 10 days ago when it stopped waking up after my computer has gone to sleep. It usually takes many tries (me hitting the blue power button off and on) before the screen will stay on. Then it does until the next sleep mode. I changed the power setting for display to NEVER, but that doesn't always stop it from happening. We checked for updated drivers and my husband installed a new video card. Problem is the same. Any help is greatly appreciated

More likely to have failing caps in thepower supply, common problem with 2~3 years old monitors. Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague http://www.badcaps.net
