Don't know address and port for proxy
I don't know address and port for proxy settings???
when I try to download from servers I
get messages like:
navigation to webpage cancelled
file doesn't exist on server
no internet connection
I used to be able to download from
sites. I was using IE when the
problem started . I am
trying to use FireFox and having
the same problems, I can't get
the ADOBE to download.

Unless you are on a (typically corporate) network behind a firewall, the best option is generally to let the software automatically detect the proxy setting. On Foxfire, look up at the menu bar, click on TOOLS. In the dropdown box, select OPTIONS. Look at the dialog box and click on the ADVANCED button. Click on the NETWORK tab, click on the SETTINGS button, and select AUTO-SELECT. That should allow the software to negotiate a proxy directly with your router or cable/dsl modem.
