Thanks for the question! It could be several different issues. First, It's possible the topside jet button is malfunctioning and may need to be replaced. Is there any type of error message flashing on the topside display? Second, The pump may be bad, If it's a 2 speed pump it's possible to still circulate the water and maintain temp while the pump is malfunctioning. Depending on your level of "do it yourselfness" you may attempt to troubleshoot and repair it on your own. Checking for an error code on your topside is the best 1st step to take. I wish I could be of more assistance however, without being able to inspect it myself those are the best suggestions I can muster. Good luck & I hope I was able to provide at least some assistance. =)
I have 14 years experience as a full time Master Spa Techncian, and am or have been a warranty tech for nearly every brand of spa, as well as the control computer manufacturers. We work on everything from residential units like yours, to the commercial units utilized by hospitals and nursing homes.
First, this will require being around electricity, so be VERY safe.
Unplug the spa.
Get a meter, a cheap one is fine. Get some jumper wires (long wires with small clamps on the ends).
Remove the cover from the back of the motor, while still in the spa if possible to make this easy.
Connect one end to the black meter probe, and the other end to the metal portion of the white wire inside the rear of the motor.
Next, connect the other jumper wire to the red probe, and to the black wire inside the rear of the motor.
Make sure that the probe ends are not touching and are setting on something that cannot conduct electricity to each other or to you.
Set the meter to any AC ~ setting above the voltage at your outlet where you plug the cord into. On my meter it is 200 for regular 110-120v outlets and 750 for anything 220-240v. It is ok to set the meter too high, but setting it too low can damage the meter.
Once you have verified that the meter is set properly and that the jumpers are on correctly, and that they are not touching anything metal, or each other or YOU, you can plug the spa in.
Now, let the spa do what it does and watch the meter. If it comes up to 120ish or 240ish if your outlet is for 240, (in the USA it should be the 120). If the meter never shows the 120, then push your jets button on the top side control. watch the meter. If after a half dozen attempts nothing happens, then un plug and move the jumper at the rear of the motor from the black to the red if you have a red.
Plug in again and repeat the above.
If you have NO response at the motor, then the motor is not the problem. The problem is in your control system.
If your meter DOES show voltage, then the problem is your motor.
Feel free to email me for assistance or if you have any questions.
