Drive the car then it looses power as if no petrol to the engine

I wait a few minutes then the car would start again, with the problem re occuring now on a regular basis

Run fault codes and look for sensor problems. Have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check fuel pump/pressure regulator and filter.
