Drivers swap hi, i need to swap bass drivers in my wharfedale diamond 8.4 and i'm not sure how. i took out the screws around the driver but the part i thought is just a frame is still sitting there firmly. i don't wanna destroy it. is there anybody who've got experience with them? cheers
With some speaker cabinets, the manufacturer will put some form of adhesive to seal the speaker to the cabinet so there's no space between them. I've often found that all it takes is to use a thin bladed flat screwdriver and insert it gently between the speaker frame and the cabinet to break the seal and free the speaker. You may need to tap the screwdriver in a bit, then twist it, but if you find you must use a lot of force, this may not be the solution for you. Please rate my answer, thanks.
