Driving 2 sets of speakers with an external volume control on one set
I want to run 2 sets of speakers from my NAD372 - one set at the front, one at the rear. However, I want to be able to regulate the volume of the rear set independently of the front set. Both sets are rated at 8ohms impdance. Is it safe to install an external volume control between the rear speakers and the amp? The model I have in mind is the BT934 volume control, but I am concerned that its introduction into the circuit will unbalance the speaker impedance. Can you please advise me how to proceed?

I think it's a bad idea to use a simple potentiomenter to do what you want to. You'd be better off using another amplifier with RCA cables in between them. It's not hard to find an old amp that you could use these days.
I think the best way is to either replace that amp with a multi-room amp (common and cheap now) or
just add another one with it's own volume control. Using a potentiometer on speaker signals is always
a bad idea. It does mess up the impedence by it's very nature.
